Position:

Registered Nurse – CVOR

Travel Experience Required:

No travel experience required; however, candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

Shift:

Day Shift: 4x10 hours (06:15 AM - 04:45 PM)

Years of Experience:

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, including:

• 1 year of experience in CVOR
• If CVOR experience is less than 1 year, at least 1 year in a main OR is necessary.

Charting System:

Preferred experience with Epic.

Required Certifications:

• BLS

Preferred certifications:

• ACLS*

Key Skills:

Preferred skills include:

• Vascular procedures
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• Cardiovascular procedures
• Aortic Aneurysm repair
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Scrubbing for Cardiovascular Surgery*
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)

Work Setting:

CVOR and Thoracic departments.

Patient Ratios:

• Days: 1:1
• Nights: 1:1
• Weekends: 1:1

Additional Requirements:

Float to main OR on the same campus may be required if there is low volume in CVOR. Call required: 2 days a week and every third weekend. Weekend coverage expected as per call schedule.

Adults and Geriatrics.

• CABG
• AVR
• MVR
• TVR
• Aortic Dissection
• TAVR
• Laser lead extraction
• Aortic Root surgeries
• Carotid procedures
• Thoracic cases
• Pericardial window procedures
• ECMO
• Impella

Unit Orientation:

24 hours of orientation will be provided.
