Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Shift Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide professional clinical expertise in the management of care for patients during labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills in the provision of care to patients.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as required.
• Collaborate with a diverse medical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Required circulating experience; scrub experience preferred.
• Completion of multiple travel contracts is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC STORK is preferred.
• High Risk experience is required.
• Experience at larger high volume delivery centers (200-300 deliveries per month) within the last year is required.
• High acuity experience is required.
• Must be comfortable floating to post-partum 1-2 shifts a week.

Orientation sessions will be held on the following dates:

• July 6–7
• July 20–21
• August 3–4
• August 17–18
• August 31–September 1
• September 14–15
• September 28–29
• October 12–13
• October 26–27
• November 9–10
• November 23–24

Certification Requirements

• AWHONN Certification for fetal monitoring
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)

State License Requirements

Active Iowa nursing license is required at the time of application.
