Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist

Shift Notes

Full-time position consisting of 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Ability to float to the main operating room as needed.

Weekend & Holiday Requirements

Weekend work is not required; however, availability for holidays may be necessary if needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in First Assist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate effective patient care.
• Provide support in the preoperative and postoperative phases of care.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a First Assist operating room role.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current BLS certification from an accredited provider.
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Must have a valid Massachusetts RN license.
• Permanent address must be included in application profile.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Additional Information

The operating room unit consists of 8 beds, and scrubs will be provided by the facility. An initial non-billable orientation time of 8 hours will be required.

All requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and documented at the time of application. Scheduling requests made subsequent to the application submission may not be approved.

Residing within 50 miles of the facility will lead to disqualification from this position.
