Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech with specialized experience in structural heart scrub. The ideal candidate will be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and monitoring duties during catheterization procedures.
• Assist with various cath lab procedures, including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placements, thrombectomy, and Impella insertion.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while providing patient care and support.
• Monitor patient telemetry and assist in managing PA lines.
• Occasional floating to EP may be required, along with duties in a patient holding area.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience is required.
• Experience as a first-time traveler is accepted.
• Must have structural heart scrub experience; do not screen candidates who do not meet this criterion.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and at least one of the following: RCIS or ARRT.
• Preferred skills: Circulate, IV start, conscious sedation, and rhythm interpretation.
• Familiarity with procedures such as Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, and coil embolization is a plus.

Schedule and Orientation

The position requires a schedule of 40 hours per week with 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. The expected start date is dependent on training and schedule availability, with flexibility needed for potential orientation dates. Missing any part of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.

Unit Details

The Cath Lab utilizes EPIC and MAC Lab systems. The unit performs various complex procedures, requiring efficient teamwork to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Scrubs

Scrubs will be provided for the duration of the assignment.
