Job Summary

This position involves the evaluation of radiology procedures, equipment, and personnel, ensuring processes are accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable. The role prioritizes activities that enhance customer service for various stakeholders, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians, and provide all necessary documentation on requisition.
• Establish effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure proper safety procedures and radiation safety practices are adhered to, following ALARA principles.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of information service systems.
• Provide patient education and thorough documentation to ensure high-quality care meets all patient needs.
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing or supervising imaging and radiologic diagnostic procedures.
• Comply with all policies and procedures related to incident reporting.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the department.

Education

Required Education

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology.

Certifications & Licensure

Required Certifications

• New York State license as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT(R) Registration.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 12p-11p, working on a 7 days on/7 days off rotation, starting on a Thursday.
