Description
Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist, Acute Care – Walla Walla, WA 99362
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (07:00 - 15:00), 13-week assignment. Weekend rotation of 1 weekend every 4 weeks. Expected patient volume of 8-9 patients per day. No on-call required.
Highlights:
- Work in a 104-bed short-term acute care facility with Level III Trauma Center designation
- Float between acute care, medical, ICU, and inpatient rehabilitation units for varied clinical experience
- Treat diverse patient diagnoses including multi-trauma, TBI, SCI, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological conditions
- Collaborate with a close-knit, supportive therapy team in a regional hospital setting
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Reduced non-billable orientation period
Requirements:
- Active Washington state Occupational Therapy license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required (hardstop requirement)
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Must be self-driven, independent, and demonstrate strong time management skills
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
