Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist, Outpatient – Valdez, AK 99686

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Valdez, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00), 72 guaranteed hours per two-week period

Highlights:

• Diverse practice setting serving inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and swing bed populations
• Primarily outpatient pediatric caseload with opportunities across the care continuum
• Facility-provided housing (1-bedroom apartment) and rental vehicle included during assignment
• No on-call requirements; block scheduling available upon request
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements:

• Valid Alaska Occupational Therapy license (pending license accepted; processing takes 10-12 weeks)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Acute care, outpatient, and long-term care/SNF experience required
• Pediatrics and inpatient experience strongly preferred
• Experience with standardized assessments, developmental testing/treatment, and functional activities required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Willingness to work two of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
