Job Title: Nurse Supervisor
Location: BROOKLYN, NY 11206
Hours Per Week: 40.00 (5*8)
Shift Time: DAY SHIFT 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Schedule Notes: DON Experience within BH dept required
Contract: 14 weeks

Job Summary: The Nurse Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and staff performance within the behavioral health department. This role focuses on clinical governance, program development, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance to support safe and effective care delivery.

Responsibilities
• Plan and develop programs to improve patient care quality and employee performance.
• Monitor clinical performance and collaborate with nurse managers on unit operations.
• Support corrective action processes and staff development initiatives.
• Oversee clinical documentation and record-keeping systems, including medication error tracking and counseling documentation.
• Promote compliance with nursing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership support and guidance to nursing and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience – Required
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience – Required
• Director of Nursing (DON) experience within a Behavioral Health (BH) department – Required

Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing – Required

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

License
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED – Required

Facility Details
• Hospital-based Behavioral Health department with administrative and clinical leadership functions
