Key Responsibilities of the RN PACU:

Provide post-anesthesia care to patients following surgical procedures

Monitor vital signs, airway, and patient response to anesthesia

Assess for complications and intervene as needed

Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to safety and infection-control standards

Requirements:

2 years of recent PACU RN experience

Active RN license (Colorado or compact eligible)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in post-operative care

Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
