Key Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
Operate gamma cameras and related imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Monitor patients during procedures and provide clear instructions and reassurance
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records
Follow radiation safety standards and infection control policies
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to deliver excellent patient care
Requirements:
Active Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (ARRT(N) or NMTCB required; Florida license preferred)
Minimum 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine experience
Current BLS certification
Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety
Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
