Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time shifts with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule; floating to med-surg/tele or ortho units as needed
Highlights:
- 24-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and post-surgical patients
- Diverse case mix including post-CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, TAVR, and vascular surgeries
- Meditech EMR with modern equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Hillrom beds, and telemetry monitoring
- Bedside procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertions
- Experience with cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, and Cardizem
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment with charge nurse support on every shift
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 6 months of Progressive Care Unit experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency with cardiac drips
- Strong communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary team members
- Accountability and professionalism in all aspects of patient care
