Schedule: Full-time shifts with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule; floating to med-surg/tele or ortho units as needed

Highlights:

• 24-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and post-surgical patients
• Diverse case mix including post-CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, TAVR, and vascular surgeries
• Meditech EMR with modern equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Hillrom beds, and telemetry monitoring
• Bedside procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertions
• Experience with cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, and Cardizem
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment with charge nurse support on every shift

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 6 months of Progressive Care Unit experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and competency with cardiac drips
• Strong communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary team members
• Accountability and professionalism in all aspects of patient care
