Description
Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Self-scheduling with requests accepted; 36-hour weeks with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs
Highlights:
- 36-bed oncology telemetry unit with over 24 progressive care beds serving high-acuity PCU and medical-surgical patients
- Patient population includes solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for PCU and 1:4-5 for medical-surgical telemetry
- Epic charting system with GE telemetry monitoring and Alaris pumps
- Comprehensive 72-hour orientation including one week of dayshift classroom training and 36 hours of on-unit preceptorship
- Strong interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of high-acuity PCU patient care experience required
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, cardiac drip management, central line care, accessing ports, blood product administration, and PCA pumps
- Experience with high-flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, and feeding tube care
- Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
