Description
Start Date: February 2, 2026
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday required; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
Highlights:
- Patient ratios: 1:1-2 for critical care; 1:3 for intermediate care
- Float to multiple pediatric specialty units including adolescents, pediatrics, PHOC, and NICU
- Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of pediatric critical care experience
- Diverse case mix including complex medical, surgical, trauma, and critical care patients
- Local candidates welcome at competitive rates
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric critical care or stepdown experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Required clinical skills: CVP monitoring, CVVH/CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation and management, PEWs scoring, insulin administration and pump management, NG tube placement and management, IV access including ports, arterial lines, central lines, and PICCs, procedural sedation, IV vasopressor administration, EVD and VP shunt management, ICP monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula, ETT management, ventilator and trach care, renal failure management, peritoneal dialysis, wound care, and trauma care
- ECMO experience strongly preferred
- Ability to float within skillset across pediatric specialties as required
