Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Georgia

Start Date: March 9, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours guaranteed; every other weekend required; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

  • High-volume Emergency Department averaging 165-175 patients daily in a 59-bed unit
  • Stroke and STEMI certified facility with high-acuity, non-trauma patient population
  • Epic EMR required; must have prior Epic charting experience
  • Adolescent to geriatric patient population in a large, fast-paced environment
  • Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
  • Contract length determines orientation hours; full compliance required prior to start

Requirements:

  • Active Georgia or Compact nursing license (must be in hand at time of application)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience; previous travel experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory
  • Experience with 1:4 patient ratios in high-acuity settings
  • Two supervisory references from Manager level or above highly preferred
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must be available to complete compliance items within 48 hours of contract signing
