Location: Pikeville, Kentucky

Schedule: 8-week assignment, 48 hours/week, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM night shift

Highlights:

• Specialized telemetry unit caring for young adult, adult, and elderly patient populations
• Focus on cardiac monitoring and care of pre/post CABG and interventional cardiac procedure patients
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, sheath management, specialized medication titration, and chest tube care
• Utilize specialized equipment including ACT machines, central line management, IV therapy, and infusion pumps
• Comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process across diverse case mix
• Night shift schedule providing work-life balance during daylight hours

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Active RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience required; 5 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, pre/post cardiac surgery care, and specialized cardiac procedures
• Strong assessment skills across multiple age groups
