Description
Start Date: May 14, 2026
Location: Charleston, West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, weekdays with every other weekend; float required to Mother Baby as needed; full-time 40-hour option available
Highlights:
- Regional tertiary care Labor & Delivery unit serving both low-risk and high-risk obstetrics
- 14 L&D beds, 6 triage beds, 2 operating rooms, 2 recovery beds, and 2 high-risk antepartum beds
- Collaborative team environment working alongside midwives and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
- Cerner charting system with Surginet and Fetallink documentation
- Orientation provided every other Thursday; modules completed prior to start date
- Flexible scheduling options with 3x12 or 4x12 configurations
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Current West Virginia or Compact state RN license (pending license acceptable)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR system required
- IV start and fetal heart monitoring skills essential; triage and scrub skills preferred
- OR circulating experience a plus
- Willingness to float to Mother Baby unit as needed
- Must reside more than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
- Two manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption provided
