Description
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Self-scheduling with 2:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends. Three weekend shifts per schedule. Float to NICU and Pediatrics/Pediatric ED as needed. Orientation includes 40 hours plus 8 hours of virtual modules.
Highlights:
- 6-bed PICU caring for infants, children, and adolescents with complex conditions including respiratory distress/failure, DKA, seizures, pain management, and sepsis
- Experience with moderate sedation, drips, arterial lines, and central lines/CVP monitoring
- Utilize Cerner EMR system with interdisciplinary support from PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and more
- Specialized equipment includes vents, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
- Two pre-approved time-off periods available
- First-time travelers welcome with required experience
Requirements:
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact State license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with 2:1 patient ratio experience
- Current BLS (BCLS) and PALS certifications required
- Basic EKG knowledge
- Proficiency in arterial line management and central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Professional references required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
