Description
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend rotation required; 13-week assignment
Highlights:
- High-volume laboratory setting serving a large acute care facility with 600+ beds
- Work with advanced hematology platforms including Sysmex and CellaVision systems
- Perform critical differential analysis for diverse patient populations including neonatal units
- Manage complex sample types daily, including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
- Fast-paced environment ideal for experienced lab professionals seeking to expand their skills
- 13-week contract with potential for extension
Requirements:
- Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Technologist certification required
- Demonstrated experience with Sysmex and CellaVision hematology analyzer systems
- Previous experience in a large hospital laboratory setting (600+ beds preferred)
- Proficiency in performing accurate differential counts, especially for neonatal and complex specimens
- Strong troubleshooting skills for managing challenging samples including turbid specimens and platelet abnormalities
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Ability to work independently with minimal training and adapt quickly to departmental workflows
