Job Opportunity – Surgical Intensive Care Unit RN – Pennsylvania

Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Hazleton, Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants (local rate differential applies)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, floating as needed

Highlights:

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience preferred with adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 3:1 based on acuity
• EPIC charting system in a 12-bed unit with daily census of approximately 6 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 12-hour orientation provided upon assignment start
• Self-scheduling model with excellent team collaboration

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Critical care skills including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, dysrhythmia management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, suctioning, and isolation precautions
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background clearances required
• Valid professional references and certification documentation required
