Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available, every other weekend required, patient ratio 1:3-4

Highlights:

• ICU Stepdown environment with high-acuity patients including post-rapid response, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, and post-operative cases
• Strong critical care experience required with arterial lines and vasoactive drip titration (Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo)
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and bedside telemetry monitoring
• 18-bed unit with average daily census of 18 patients, adolescent through geriatric population
• Contract length of 13 weeks or longer available through February 27
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of progressive care/stepdown nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Strong competency in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management mandatory
• Demonstrated experience with arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Proficiency in blood product administration, central line/PICC management, heparin and IV insulin protocols
• North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float to sister ICCU unit as needed
