Opportunity:
TRAVEL EXP - ICU RN - Req 11018
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling
• Weekends required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends with potential for 1:3 ratio due to 1:1 specialty patients
• Float required to sister ICUs (SICU, CICU, NSICU)
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• At least 1 year of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Compact nursing license must be in hand at submission
• Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include endocrine disorders, respiratory disorders, GI/GU disorders, renal disorders, sepsis/septic shock, post cardiac arrest, stroke, and MODS
• Special procedures include CRRT and chemotherapy administration
• Special equipment includes CRRT (Prismaflex/Prismax), Masimo hemodynamic monitoring, Ambu bronch/intubation equipment, Verathon bladder scanner, and Spacelabs patient monitoring
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Dress code for licensed nursing personnel: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (print tops are not acceptable)
• Free parking available in unrestricted surface parking lots
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must submit response indicating whether candidate has previously worked at a Providence facility

This short-term acute care facility operates with 379 staffed beds and holds a Level II Trauma Center designation. The ICU department maintains a 16-bed unit with a daily census of 13 patients and offers robust interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility provides comprehensive critical care with advanced equipment and specialty support across multiple ICU sister units.
