We partner with our Nurses at TriStar Centennial Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsWomen Children PACU Nurse <ul><li>The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. </li><li>Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.</li><li>Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.</li><li>Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. </li><li>Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.</li><li>Participates in performance improvement activities.</li><li>Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. </li><li>When acting in charge nurse role, registered nurses are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.</li><li>Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. </li><li>Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.</li><li>Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues. </li></ul>What you will do in this role: <ul><li>You willmonitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions. </li><li>You will consult and coordinate with team members of operative and other procedural areas for safe effective care of patients as well as “on time” case starts. </li><li>You will record patients’ medical information and vital signs. </li><li>You will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ condition. </li><li>You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions. </li><li>You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments. </li></ul>
What qualifications you will need:<ul><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date</li><li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date</li><li>PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date</li><li>Registered Nurse: Current TN RN License or compact licensure. </li><li>Registered Nurse Diploma</li><li>Experience working with critical care patients: ICU, ER, or PACU-- be completely comfortable managing patients on ventilators and multiple drips. </li><li>Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. </li></ul>TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility.
