Job Description
As a school-based speech-language pathologist, or school SLP, you'll help children and teens with speaking, swallowing, understanding and other speech-related skills needed for educational activities. Working in a public, private or charter school or other academic facility, you'll review students' individualized education programs (IEPs), develop and implement speech therapy treatment plans, recommend and provide equipment, monitor goal progress and more. You'll play a critical role in helping students thrive in school and beyond.
Minimum Requirements- At least 1 year of recent experience as a speech language pathologist in a school setting
- Degree in relevant field
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license
