Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Stepdown Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiac care, including the ability to manage complex patient needs in a stepdown unit.

Unit Information

This position is located in the Cardiac PCU/Stepdown Unit, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures. The unit operates on a 12-hour shift basis with guaranteed hours for full-time positions.

Shifts

• Days
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• Floating required to Med/Tele & ED hold as needed

Responsibilities

• Administer and titrate cardiac drips as per protocols.
• Monitor and assess patients for changes in their condition.
• Assist with cardiac catheterization lab recovery and observation.
• Perform sheath pulls and monitor insertion sites.
• Provide general medical/surgical patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience in pulling sheaths and monitoring sites is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of general medical and surgical patient care.
