Job Description: Radiation Therapist – Travel Assignment

Overview

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. This ambulatory clinic is located at 1240 Lee Street next to the main hospital, with occasional coverage at the Moser location (2871 Ivy Road, approximately two miles away). The role requires ARRT certification, ARIA charting experience, and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience including inpatient hospital exposure.

• Shift: Day, 5x8-hour (08:00–16:30 or 10:00–18:30, depending on patient load)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (longer assignment available through January 3, 2026)
• Location: Charlottesville, VA (Lee Street clinic and Moser clinic)
• Licensure: VA license required; temporary licensure available with active license from another state

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Operate TrueBeam technology and document patient care using ARIA charting system
• Collaborate with oncology care teams to ensure patient safety and treatment accuracy
• Provide patient education and support throughout the treatment process
• Maintain compliance with hospital and state regulations

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Active VA state license (or eligibility for temporary licensure)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, including inpatient hospital exposure (outpatient-only experience not accepted)
• Experience in radiation oncology centers utilizing TrueBeam and ARIA preferred
