Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU, Travel Assignment)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team for a 6–8 week travel assignment in Robbinsdale, MN. The RN provides holistic care to patients and families across the life cycle, executing the Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role emphasizes independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions while promoting excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
• Develop and revise individualized plans of care, coordinating across disciplines.
• Provide care in alignment with PACU-specific competencies and standards.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices.
• Support trauma and critical care patients, including pediatric through geriatric populations.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination.

Submission Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience (ICU/ED) – Required
• Previous PACU experience – Highly Preferred
• Epic EMR experience – Required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC) – Required
• Experience with pediatric through geriatric patient populations – Required
• Trauma Level I experience – Required
• Complete profile including:
  • Work history
  • Skills checklist (current within 1 year, pertinent to specialty)
  • Two supervisory references with employment dates
  • RTO requests included at time of submittal

Certifications

• Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS

State License Requirements

• Minnesota RN license
