Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Bay Area Hospital, Coos Bay, OR 

Start Date: January 6, 2026 

Duration: 12 weeks 

Shift: Varied – 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) 

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend 

On-Call Requirement: TBD

About the Role

Bay Area Hospital is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week travel assignment. This position requires strong clinical skills in fetal monitoring and obstetric care, with flexibility to work both day and night shifts depending on facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.
• Monitor fetal heart activity and interpret results accurately.
• Assist with deliveries and obstetric procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe outcomes.
• Document patient care using Epic and OBIX systems (preferred).
• Support patients and families through the childbirth process with compassion and expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience with fetal heart monitoring.
• Active Oregon RN license (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications.
• EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred.
• Experience with OBIX and Epic charting systems highly preferred.
• Resume and skills checklist (within 1 year) required at submission.

Assignment Details

• Hours per Day: 12
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks
