Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract assignment. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in cardiovascular operating room procedures and thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Scrub and/or circulate during open heart and vascular cases
- Prepare the OR, equipment, and sterile fields for CVOR procedures
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia during complex cardiac cases
- Monitor patient status and ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesia, and OR staff
- Accurately document intraoperative care and patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific)
- Minimum 2+ years of recent CVOR experience
- Experience with open heart and cardiovascular procedures
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) required
Shift: 06:30am-05:00pm
