MRI Technologist – Long Term Assignment, Inpatient & Outpatient
 

Job Description

Join a busy imaging team as an MRI Technologist in a long-term travel assignment. This role involves performing a variety of MRI studies, administering contrast when required, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging for both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work independently while collaborating with radiologists, nurses, and support staff to deliver safe, efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans across neuro, MSK, abdomen, breast, and vascular studies (MRA/MRV)
• Administer contrast agents as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety and prepare them for procedures
• Operate Philips 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners and document procedures in PACS/RIS systems
• Support pediatric imaging and sedation cases in collaboration with nursing staff
• Follow safety protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure patient comfort

Requirements

• ARRT (MR) certification required (ARRT-R only not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Philips MRI scanners and PACS/RIS systems (Epic or Change Healthcare preferred)
• Ability to work standard 5x8 shifts (10:30 am – 7:00 pm) and occasional weekends/holidays
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient care skills
