Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse- North Dakota

 

American Consultants is looking for a travel OR nurse for a contract outside of Williston, ND. This is a four day a week schedule Mon- Thur 10 hour days. They would like someone that is capable of doing everything in the OR. The facility has three OR's and two procedure rooms.

 

Pay Package:

Taxable: $85/hour

Tax Free: $1246/ weekly

Total: $4646/ weekly

 

Job Summary:

A Travel Operating Room Nurse is a registered nurse who works short-term assignments in surgical settings across various healthcare facilities. They provide perioperative care before, during, and after surgery while adapting quickly to new environments, teams, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist surgeons during procedures as a scrub nurse and/or circulating nurse
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
  • Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
  • Administer medications and IVs as prescribed
  • Document surgical procedures and patient care accurately
  • Collaborate with surgical teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
  • Ensure proper positioning and safety of patients during procedures
  • Respond to surgical emergencies and complications
  • Adapt quickly to new hospital systems, policies, and workflows
  • (preferred/required by some facilities)
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification (preferred)

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (multi-state or ability to obtain state licenses)
  • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent OR experience (often required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
