Description
Job Title: Director of Pharmacy Operations
Location: Lenexa, Kansas, 66215
Shift: Days
Shift Length: 8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Type: Full time- Permanent
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy Operations with 5 years of experience to lead and oversee the daily operations of a high-growth 503A compounding pharmacy. This role requires a licensed PharmD in Kansas with strong expertise in pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and workflow optimization. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards, and lead staffing, SOP development, and controlled substance management. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity focused on quality, compliance, and scalable pharmacy operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily operations of the 503A compounding pharmacy, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage prescription workflow, staffing models, and overall operational performance in a high-volume environment.
- Ensure full compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, DEA regulations, and maintain readiness for FDA inspections and cGMP standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, policies, and compliance documentation.
- Oversee controlled substance management and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and foster a compliance-focused, high-performance team culture.

Documents Required:
- Valid Kensas State Pharmacist license
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution (required)
5+ years of pharmacy operations management or supervisory experience in a high-throughput pharmacy environment.
