Travel RN – Medical-Surgical Stepdown | Ohio | 8-Week Contract
 

We're hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 8week Travel Medical-Surgical Stepdown assignment in Ohio! Join a dedicated 29-bed stepdown unit providing specialized care for cardiac and stroke patients in a collaborative acute care environment.

Job Details

• 📍 Location: Ohio
• 🕒 Duration: 8 Weeks
• 🏥 Unit: Medical-Surgical Stepdown
• ⏰ Shift: Nights (36 hours/week)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Medical-Surgical Stepdown patients.
• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions, including CHF, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, and acute MI.
• Care for stroke patients and perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood transfusions, and infusion therapy.
• Manage cardiac telemetry and central lines.
• Care for patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, and APAP therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families while ensuring accurate documentation.

Requirements

• ✅ Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
• ✅ BLS (AHA)
• ✅ ACLS (AHA)
• ✅ Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• ✅ Recent Medical-Surgical, Stepdown, Telemetry, or Cardiac RN experience preferred
• ✅ Stroke care experience and NIH Stroke Scale knowledge preferred
