Neuro nurses may encounter and treat a wide array of conditions, including strokes, encephalitis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. They may also work with patients showing signs of neurological problems caused by a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. Neuroscience is one of the most complex areas in the healthcare field. What certificications are commonly held by neurology nurses?

Neurology nurses may hold Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN), among others.
