After i accepted a travel contract with catapult, I enrolled in the "health insurance" and within a month ended up in the emergency room with gallstones. I was notified that the insurance plan was a MEC, which means minimum essential coverage, AKA doesn't cover anything. My visit was 3 days and cost over $40,000 and all that's been said is "we're working on getting better coverage". My whole livelihood is at stake and this hospitalization could be more catastrophic than i ever imagined. Please, please look into all benefits offered before taking a contract with this company. The pay is good, but in situations like this, it ended up costing me by not having health insurance.
