CareComm Team Lead (RN)


Department Overview CareComm is a high-tech "mission control" clinical command center which uses artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to improve and better coordinate patient care at a lower cost. It has been developed in partnership with GE Healthcare, and features 20 artificial intelligence apps, video walls with 38 large screens, 32 work stations, multiple computer systems, and a multi-disciplinary clinical team that includes doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. CareComm staff use these resources to predict the needs of patients and team members before they arise. With CareComm, Tampa General can anticipate potential roadblocks and issues in the care process, ensuring that rooms, equipment and medical professionals will be available for patients as soon as they're needed. Job Summary The CareComm Team Lead, under the general supervision of the Manager of CareComm Operations, plays a pivotal role in improving patient access/flow and enhancing safety using clinical expertise, leadership, organizational awareness, and critical thinking skills. Under supervision of the CareComm Operations Manager or Director, provides clinical and administrative support to team members within CareComm. Will have full knowledge of how to perform all CareComm roles, i.e., Administrator on Duty, Patient Placement Specialist, Transfer Center RN Specialist, and the Clinical Expeditor roles, as may be called on to assist in supporting the team according to our standards, policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Responsible for the daily operations, including assisting and mentoring team and Lead AOD in developing overall strategy, overseeing task completion, and assigning and delegating assignments as needed. Will assist in the team member evaluation process. Assists in interviews and makes hiring recommendations to the unit manager, as well as onboarding and oversight for training of all new team members. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. In addition to these responsibilities, the CareComm Team Lead will also assist in developing educational tools for the team, manage the schedule including final approvals, time and attendance tracking, medical record review as needed, clinical and administrative escalations, follow-up and coaching of safety events, process improvement initiatives, and assists with the financial management of CareComm with the manager. * Current license to practice as a registered nurse require. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN and a minimum 2 years of leadership experience. * Bachelor's degree in nursing required. * Critical Care RN experience highly preferred. Must be able to navigate in EMR and other technology platforms as needed to perform daily duties.

Pay
