* Please Note: COVID Vaccine requirement for DOC employment NO LONGER REQUIRED* Registered Nurse 2 (RN2)  Washington Corrections Center (WCC) Shelton, WA   The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) for the Washington Corrections Center located in Shelton, WA. Current shifts available: * Friday - Tuesday: 0600-1430 * Tuesday - Friday: 0700 - 1730 * Sunday - Thursday: 0600 - 1430 * Friday - Monday: 0600 - 1630 * Friday - Monday: 1300 - 2330 * Tuesday - Friday: 1300 - 2330 * Friday - Monday: 2100 - 0730 * Tuesday - Friday: 2100 - 0730 * Tuesday -Saturday: 1400 - 2230 * Wednesday - Sunday: 0600 - 1430 * Thursday - Monday:  1400 - 2230 * Friday - Saturday:  2200 - 0630 * Registered Nurses  will receive shift differential in the amount of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour for evening shift and night shift work.  Registered Nurses will receive shift differential in the amount of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour for evening shift and night shift work. Employees may also qualify for one or both of these supplemental shift premiums in addition to the above. * One dollar ($1.00) per hour during any hours assigned to work from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. * Three dollars ($3.00) per hour during any hours worked from Friday midnight to Sunday midnight.   The Washington Corrections Center is our reception center were all those that are being assigned to DOC come for an initial evaluation and are then sent to other facilities for their care needs. This is a busy facility seeing patients for physicals and transfers. Washington Corrections Center has both inpatient and outpatient clinics that see numerous patients for different health needs and concerns. * Inpatient unit is a 14 bed unit * DOC treats many chronic diseases with this facility specializing in liver disease, cancer care and HEP-C. * Outpatient clinic sees between 15-30 patients a day for a variety of reasons and treatments.    If you've read this far, it is clear you have a desire to make a difference in public service. It is to the applicant's advantage to apply as early as possible. * The registered nurse delivers services which promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions. * Screening, assessing, and evaluating incarcerated individual and their conditions * Responding to all other requests for health care attention in a complete, timely, clinically appropriate and therapeutic manner; * Delegating and supervising work, monitoring, managing, coordinating, and delivering health care; * Planning transition, making referrals and arranging follow-up when patients transfer or return to the community; * Assisting patients to improve their skill and ability to provide care for themselves and their family ; * Counseling, consulting, teaching, advising, and providing health information that improves quality of health services and/or enhances safety and security. * Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. * Active and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Washington State. If you currently hold an active an unencumbered multi-state/compact licensure from another state, you must change your primary state of residence to WA and apply for a WA State Multi-State licensure within 60 days of employment.  * One year experience working as a Registered Nurse. * Have American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.   Please include a minimum of three professional references with your application: * The Department of Corrections defines a professional reference as an individual who has been paid to supervise your work and can attest to your work performance, technical skills, and job competencies. * If you do not have any or sufficient professional references, please include non-related professionals, such as educators or other professional associates. * Phone number AND email address are required for all professional references.
