About the Intensive Care Unit The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized section of our hospital that provides comprehensive and continuous care for persons who are critically ill and can benefit from treatment. Montrose Regional Health's ICU has the tools and medical professionals to manage critical care patients and assist them in their greatest time of need. Combining the latest in healthcare technology with a highly qualified and trained staff. About The Career: The Nurse Supervisor functions as a leader in the health care team and is responsible for coordination of the health care team. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of both clinical and managerial duties by maintaining a suitable environment for nursing practice and patient care; assisting staff with ethical, legal and patient/family advocacy issues; demonstrating knowledge and clinical expertise and aiding staff to develop the same; and collaborating with the Clinical Operations Director to develop and implement policies, procedures and systems that support the clinical practice of nursing. Holds nursing staff accountable for performing and delivering patient care that is consistent with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values as well as the organization's strategic plan. The Nurse Manager participates in unit performance improvement activities as well as promotes the concept and image of professional nursing practice. .All About You: Current Colorado or compact state RN license or ability to become licensed. Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's, Associated, or Diploma in Nursing.
