Registered Nurse – High Intensity Care Unit (HICU)
Location: Levindale Hospital, LifeBridge Health – Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts (Days or Nights, weekend rotation)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000

Levindale Hospital’s High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) provides advanced care for patients recovering from acute brain injuries, respiratory failure, and other complex conditions. About the HICU

• 20 semi-private rooms, up to 40 high-acuity patients

• Interdisciplinary team: nursing, respiratory, rehab, pharmacy, social work, nutrition

• Focus on recovery, early intervention, and family-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care

• Operate advanced monitoring and life-support equipment

• Collaborate on individualized care plans

• Educate patients and families

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred

• Critical care or high-acuity experience preferred (new grads considered)

• Maryland RN license, BLS required; ACLS within 1 year

• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
