Registered Nurse 2 At Yakima Valley School Residential Habilitation Center, we value our nurses and understand how important you are to our patients, their families, and our facility. Our residents grow stronger and more independent with the help of our skilled, compassionate nursing staff.   We are seeking Registered Nurse 2's who have the compassion to work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Swing shift, from 1:30 - 10:00 pm Each role hired will have different days off. Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate.   Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.  Some of what you will do * Responsible for nursing process as defined in state law and Yakima Valley School Standard of Practice * Administer medications orally, parenterally, IM and SQ as ordered * Transcribe and carry out physician's order for all medication and treatment; not limited to but including enteral feedings, respiratory therapy, skin care and bowel care. Assess any changes in resident status and reports to higher level nursing and communications with MD/ARNP and families as needed * Record health data, medications and treatments in the residential clinical record. Correctly document, transcribe and implement verbal and telephone physicians orders. * Document observations and pertinent information regarding resident status appropriate in progress records * Float to assigned units on campus * Respond to emergency situations What we are looking for * Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing; AND * One year of professional nursing experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
