Staff Assistant 2, Emergency Room - Part Time/Hourly (Evenings)

The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time/hourly TH Staff Assistant 2, Emergency Room (Evenings). The successful candidate will: * Greet employees, patients, and visitors entering University Hospital of Brooklyn (UHB). * Check temperatures of all employees, visitors, patients, and others entering UHB. * Electronically record the temperature of all visitors in UHB's database. * Escort patients to their respective destinations for treatment and/or service. * Use HealthBridge (an electronic medical record system), monitoring patient movement within the hospital. Required Qualifications: * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: * High School diploma preferred. * Basic computer knowledge a plus. Work Schedule: Variable Days; 4:00pm to 12:00am (Evenings) Salary Grade/Rank: SL-1 Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: An approved COVID-19 vaccination.
