Nurse Manager | Emergency Services | Adult ED | Full Time

Overview:

Provide administrative support and structure for the delivery of professional nursing care in the Department of Nursing and Patient Services. 

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of systems that support professional practice and achieve the nursing vision and organizational goals.
• Maintain 24-hour accountability for unit functions.
• Provide leadership to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the Emergency Department (ED) & managerial experience.
• Master's degree in nursing required or obtain degree within three years.
• National nursing board certification in specialty area required or obtain certification as contracted by the VP/AVP.
• Minimum of five years professional nursing practice experience required.
• Demonstrates leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, CQI process, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systems, and budgetary process.
