GI (Gastrointestinal) Coordinator

SUMMARY The GI Lab Coordinator improves clinical operations by collaborating with the attending medical staff, as well as the department scheduler to coordinate the delivery of high quality, individualized, cost-effective patient care. Improves quality by coordinating resource utilization throughout the Health System to maximize the provider's block time. Coordinates interdisciplinary referrals utilizing pre-established criteria for quality and access to the GI lab. Supports the performance improvement process through comprehensive analysis of patterns and trends. Improves patient satisfaction by facilitating pre/post procedures telephone calls to all patients in the GI lab. QUALIFICATIONS * Graduate from an accredited school of nursing as a Graduate Practical Nurse. * Current Georgia License as a Practical Nurse. * CPR Certification. * Three (3) years of experience in an outpatient ambulatory setting. * Passing score on medication exam before conclusion of orientation.
