Registered Nurse - ICU

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 22 bed unit treating patients with acute medical-surgical or trauma-induced conditions, chronically ill and/or debilitated patients, and patients with acute cardiac illness. The ICU provides a variety of services including managing medical -surgical patients with holistic care, including psychological, cultural, emotional, medical, nutritional, and environmental needs. A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital.# This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties. # Education/Experience Requirements Required:## Graduate of an accredited associate degree *A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment. Preferred:## Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree ########### *Bachelor#s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017. # Licensure/Certification Requirements Required:## Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred: Certification in a specialty area.
