ICU Registered Nurse (36HWP)

Position Summary: To provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients within a specific nursing#department. Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and older adults who require comprehensive care requiring multi-system support. Duties Identifies stages of human growth and development and uses this information to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Identifies the psychology of developmental stages and uses this information to provide age appropriate care which fosters growth. Utilizes communication skills appropriate to the age, developmental stage, and literacy level of patients served. Recognizes and reports suspected cases of child/elder abuse in accordance with applicable statutes. Identifies the pathophysiology of multi-system disease/failure and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care Identifies the pathophysiology of trauma and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care. Identifies the physiologic changes induced by surgery and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care.
