$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). ABOUT OUR ICU We are a general medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical monitoring We offer 15 individual rooms for patients We consistently hold 1:2 nurse to patient ratios Our RNs work in close partnership with our intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants We are a close-knit team that values camaraderie and collaboration WORK SCHEDULE 36 hours per week 3x12 shift schedule This position can work straight nights or a mix of day shifts and night shifts. Additional details will be provided in the interview. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers Follow evidence-based nursing practices Provide bedside for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes Monitor and administer medications and IVs Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit Active BLS Active ACLS Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
