Registered Nurse - ICU Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $43.20 - $60.80 an hour - Full Time, Nights. 36 hours a week.# $10,000 Bonus!! Responsibilities #Coordinates and provides nursing care for critically ill or injured patients ages 13 through the lifespan with respect to diversity. #In life threatening emergent situations, will provide care for critically injured children with support from physicians, pediatricians, and pediatric nurses until transfer can be done safely. #Employees must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for the primary population of patients served in the department. #Employees demonstrate the ability to alter care and patient/family education based on the age or developmental level of the patient. #Competency in rhythm recognition, ACLS guidelines, hemodynamics, and basic principles of critical care nursing. #Assesses patient status systematically, demonstrates critical thinking by anticipating and responding to changes in clinical condition. #Works together as a team to meet patient individual plan. #Demonstrates an understanding of patient education tools, assesses learning ability and needs then develops an education plan to meet patient and family deficits. #May be required to perform point of care testing. #May be a point of care trainer. #May be required to do moderately complex lab testing. #Committed to support patient safety and quality initiatives, ongoing transitions in standards of care as evidence based practice and research mandate change, and adhere to hospital standards for care. #Serves at patients and families liaison.
