DOC is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Registered Nurses for full-time positions at our Stafford Creek Corrections Center  in Aberdeen, WA. Current shifts available:  * 1:30pm-10:00pm (1330-2200) Weds/Thurs off * 1:30pm-10:00pm (1330-2200) Fri/Sat off * 11:30pm-6:00am (2130-0600) Tues/Weds off Registered Nurses will receive shift differential in the amount of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour for evening shift and night shift work. Employees may also qualify for one or both of these supplemental shift premiums in addition to the above. A. One dollar ($1.00) per hour during any hours assigned to work from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. B. Three dollars ($3.00) per hour during any hours worked from Friday midnight to Sunday midnight. At Stafford Creek Corrections Center we value our nurses and understand how important they are to our patients and their families.  Additionally we offer a great benefit package along with opportunity for professional and personal growth.   Stafford Creek Corrections Center treats many diverse patients' needs such as dementia and brain cancer along with other chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension HEP C, and many others. *  Inpatient Unit is a 23 bed unit * Outpatients' clinic sees 10-15 patients per day * Foot care clinics are ran weekly along with scheduled blood pressure checks. Some of what our RN's do: * The registered nurse delivers services which promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions. * Screening, assessing, and evaluating incarcerated individual l and their conditions * Responding to all other requests for health care attention in a complete, timely, clinically appropriate and therapeutic manner; * Delegating and supervising work, monitoring, managing, coordinating, and delivering health care; * Planning transition, making referrals and arranging follow-up when patients transfer or return to the community; * Assisting patients to improve their skill and ability to provide care for themselves and their family ; * Counseling, consulting, teaching, advising, and providing health information that improves quality of health services and/or enhances safety and security.   On-call/intermittent staff are expected to: * Be available to work all shifts (day, swing and graveyard) including weekends and holidays as requested. * Be willing to work a minimum of 10 shifts a month. * Provide written availability by the 20th of each month for the following month's coverage. * Be willing to complete a paid six-week correctional worker core training (not required). Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) * Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. * The ability to obtain a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse prior to employment. * One year of experience required * Must be AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) ( Advanced Cardiac Life Support and others will not substitute for BLS)  * Requires respirator medical evaluation questionnaire, fit testing, training, and use of respiratory protection as required by the WA Industrial Safety & Act standards. Refer to WAC 296-842 to learn more. NOTE: Must have initial and continuous unencumbered/unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse. If you currently hold an active an unencumbered multi-state/compact licensure from another state, you must change your primary state of residence to WA and apply for a WA State Multi-State licensure within 60 days of employment.   IMPORTANT NOTES: * Please include a minimum of three (3) professional references with your application. Refer to WAC 296-842 to learn more. * Must be able to work in spaces, climb stairs, walk long distances, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds. Under rare circumstances this position may be required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds.
