The amazing, friendly, helpful staff at this teaching facility along with the beautiful aesthetic of a modern-day, well-stocked and organized (administration and environmentally) hospital that provides an Urgent Care and endorses hospital policies that I truly believe have contributed to the very rare instances in which i witnessed a patient who was unable to be verbal de-escalated when agitated. The BHTs are incredible and go above and beyond - they all have a degree in a relatable field (such as psychology) and a job description that involves authentic daily opportunities to interact with the patient one-on-one, as well as lead one of the many daily groups offered to the patients ln the unit throughout the day. You can work 4. 8, 12, or 16-hour shifts and their charting and other online programs/systems were efficient, user-friendly, and helped the staff save time due to the stream-line, easy-to-use, quality of the specific programs used.

The winter weather can cause sudden staffing shortages and of any staff asking to stay late to help out, travelers are not preferred and do not get paid extra when assigned as a resource nurse or floated to night shift.
