Provide nursing care during the pre-operative and post-operative periods.  PREREQUISITE EXPERIENCE:  • Graduate of accredited school of Nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the  state of Indiana.  • CPR certification  • ACLS certification or ability to obtain.  • Minimum one year experience in PreOp/PACU, ICU, or Critical Care.

Provides patient care in the operating room to assist the physician(s), certified surgical technologist  (CST), and anesthesiologist. Accountable for providing high-quality, safe patient care consistent with  established nursing practice standards and hospital policies and procedures. Works under the  supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Chief Nursing Officer. PREREQUISITE EXPERIENCE:  Graduate of accredited school of Nursing holding a current license in the state of Indiana.  CPR Certified  ACLS certification or ability to obtain.  Minimum of two years experience in nursing required. Minimum of one year experience in the Operating  Room (OR), PACU, or Preoperative areas preferred

ROLE OVERVIEW:  Works with the surgical team to perform scrubbing duties and assist the registered nurse in circulating  duties and other related procedures. Accountable for quality and reliability of patient care consistent  with established nursing practice and assigned tasks and hospital policy and procedure. Works under  supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, receives direction from physicians and professional nurses.  PREREQUISITE EXPERIENCE:  • High School Graduate  • Completion of Surgical Technologist course and appropriate certification  • Knowledge of technical requirements for most surgical procedures gained from a minimum of  two years operating room experience  • CPR certification or ability to obtain
