Great culture and support from management. Pay is good considering it is Texas. Facility is very old, always short on supply and you may get stuck in an elevator from time to time.

St.Luk’s Hospital has seen better days. It’s not the same as it used to be, but it’s still in the Texas Medical Center. I worked there for a couple years. 3/5 stars (:

Supplies always available. Support from management and peers is terrible. Management does not protect nurse’s safety, PTO requests, or wellbeing. You will always have max assigned patients. Often doing the job of 2-3.

The floors are super disorganized. They have supplies scattered in multiple areas of the unit also have the Pyxis & specific meds separated. The culture is toxic. They mostly have staff & they always give the travelers the worse assignment. Do not recommend.

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is an 881-bed quaternary care academic medical center that is a joint venture between Baylor College of Medicine and St. Luke’s Health. Located in the Texas Medical Center, the hospital is the home of the Texas Heart® Institute, a cardiovascular research and education institution founded in 1962 by Denton A. Cooley, MD. The hospital was the first facility in Texas and the Southwest designated a Magnet® hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, receiving the award five consecutive times. Baylor St. Luke’s also has three community emergency centers offering adult and pediatric care for the Greater Houston area.
